SERVICES
1. What is the Curls for Queens Hair Drive?
This is like a Backpack Drive but instead of backpacks you donate braiding hair, crocheting hair, and other natural hair care products. These donations are used during Salon Days and for students/parents who are in need.
2. What is a Salon Day?
This project allows the Queens to get their hair done on a weekend. We turn a location into a Salon for the day and the volunteer hairstylists complete quick protective styles. All participating Queens must pre-register and receive an appointment time for their arrival. When a Queen Pre-Registers they chose their top two styles from our catalogue. The hair styles take up to 2 hours! Slots are limited. After their hair is completed, they are welcomed to have a photo shoot with their parents & stylists!
3. What is a Undented: A Parent & Daughter Workshop?
This is an interactive workshop where a speaker comes to discuss bonding, self-esteem, and communication and a stylist will teach the Queens and their parents how to complete a hair style. After the workshop, the parents and the Queens leave with new skills. Everyone must preregister for this event as well!
